Performers of the year 2023 on the capital market

2023 was one of the best years in the history of the Bucharest Stock Exchange with records on multiple levels. The capitalization of the companies listed on the stock exchange has exceeded, for the first time, the threshold of RON 300 billion, the total transaction value registered on all markets, with all types of financial instruments, exceeded  RON 38 billion (+58% compared to 2022 ), the average daily liquidity on all types of instruments listed on both markets reached RON 153 million (+ 60%compared to 2022), the main index, BET increased by 32%, and BET-TR with 40%, the latter having the best performance in the region last year. Last year, through the 34 listings of shares and bonds, the record amount of EUR 5.5 billion was attracted. A record value was also registered for the number of investors who reached the end of September at over 168,000. The performance of the stock year 2023 year is reflected, first of all, by the success of the public listing of Hidroelectrica, which by its value of RON 9.3 billion lei was the largest offer in Europe in 2023 and the 4th worldwide.

All these performances were possible due to the efforts made by the stakeholders of the capital market in Romania. Thus, on the occasion of the 11th edition, the Bucharest Stock Exchange brings on the BVB Awards stage the stakeholders who stood out through their remarkable results obtained on the previous year, on the capital market.
